This is actually where she leverages the industry norms to break the mold. Over time she has become more and more exaggerated and campy in her look, to the point where she is now a self described drag queen. It’s a fascinating approach to gender that is reminiscent of David Bowie and Marc Bolan. In her particular case I’d take her overt sexuality as an indictment of the system on many levels. I find it very interesting.
